May 23, 2019 – 8:00am-12:00pm
Hospice providers need to remain current about regulatory and quality reporting to maintain a compliant program with high quality performance. Compliance oversight on hospice remains as a work plan item for the OIG and additional federal compliance auditors are focused on hospice provider throughout the U.S. The face of hospice quality reporting is also changing as new measures are considered and developed for EOL quality of care measurement. This session will review current hospice regulatory and quality reporting issues, areas of federal scrutiny, and what is in the pipeline for the hospice industry in the future.
Part Two: Hospice Quality Reporting (HQRP) Workshop: Improving Score and Ensuring Compliance – Kimberly Skehan, RN, MSN – Simione Healthcare Consultants

Mastery of HQRP requirements is essential but not sufficient to ensure excellent performance on Hospice Compare and to ensure avoiding the 2% payment penalty for non-compliance with HIS submission requirements. May 24, 2019 10:00am-12:00pm
This presentation will provide participants with the latest insights that they need to return to their organizations to navigate Hospice compliance (billing, ADR, CERT, ZPIC, UPIC). Testimonial:
“In November 2018 I attended the NHPCO Hospice Compliance Certificate Program in New Orleans. The program was a 2 day intensive training program I felt I needed to attend due to the added regulatory scrutiny in the hospice industry. Every leader, compliance officer, and other hospice colleagues should attend a compliance educational program. The Hospice Intensive Seminar being offered by MHPCA on May 23rd and 24th in St. Louis will be well worth the time and money! Three of the speakers for this meeting are national speakers and well versed in hospice regulatory issues and were presenters at the NHPCO program last fall. This program will fill up quick so be sure and register early!” – Carla Roberts, Compassus Administrator
