Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Receives Grant for Prison Hospice Program

Jefferson City, MO – The Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association is pleased to announce the organization has received a grant from Hospice Foundation of the Ozarks for its Prison Hospice Program that covers all correctional facilities within the State of Missouri. The grant will run 2018-2019 for the term of one year.

The MHPCA Prison Hospice Program held its first Prison Hospice Training in May of 2015. Since that time the program has held sixteen trainings teaching over 300 offenders throughout the Missouri Prison System. Trainers are volunteer hospice staff from all across the state of Missouri.
